Configure via System Settings or automatic .mobileconfig profile

Step-by-step instructions

Follow the steps below. Setup takes less than two minutes.

1Open System Settings → Network.

2Select your active network interface (Wi-Fi or Ethernet) and click Details.

3Go to the DNS tab in the left panel.

4Click + and add: 181.215.40.49, then add backup: .

5Remove other DNS addresses from the list and click OK → Apply.

6Alternatively, download and install the .mobileconfig profile for automatic DoT encryption.

For Russia

Separate profile for Russia

If you are in Russia, install this profile instead of the regular one: it uses a separate server reachable from Russian networks. Remove any other Bezmezhau DNS profiles first.

Need to disable DNS?

Open System Settings → Network → DNS → remove Bezmezhau addresses or delete the profile in Profiles.
